BERKELEY, Mo. (AP) -- Authorities in the St. Louis suburb of Berkeley suspect that a 37-year-old man stabbed his wife to death, then committed suicide.

Authorities found Kenneth Porter dead in a car in St. Louis city Monday after apparently shooting himself in the head.

Porter was suspected in the death of his wife, 38-year-old Yvonne Frazier. She was killed about 4:45 a.m. Monday.

Police say the couple had an argument that escalated into a stabbing. Three children were at the scene when police arrived. They were unharmed.
