KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Authorities say a Kansas city-area man and woman are facing charges in the death of a 1-year-old boy.
Jackson County Prosecutor Jim Kanatzar has scheduled a news conference Monday in the case against the Blue Springs couple charged in the baby's death. KMBC-TV reported that police were called to a home in eastern Jackson County Friday on a report of a child not breathing.
Detectives said they jailed the woman and her boyfriend after questioning the couple and receiving a preliminary autopsy report. Police did not disclose the results from the autopsy.

A 2-year-old boy who was in the couple's home was taken into protective custody.
