MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Terry Ray Legate Sr., 53, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at his home.

He was born Dec. 3, 1954, in Granite City, Ill., son of John Elbert and Pauline Self Legate.

Legate was a saw operator with B&B Lumber Co.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include two sons, Terry Legate Jr. of Harvard, Ill., Paul Legate of Granite City; two daughters, Angie Werner of Japan, Pam Masters of Marble Hill; two brothers, Elbert Legate Jr. and Jerry Legate of Granite City; two sisters, Peggy Collins of Marble Hill, Brenda Danner of Clementon, N.J.; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to service time today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clinton Massa officiating. Burial will be in McGee Chapel Cemetery near Glenallen, Mo., with full military honors provided by Missouri Military Honors Team.
