First child. Mrs. Ward is the former Amber Pool, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Pool of El Paso, Texas, and formerly of Cape Girardeau. She is a high-school guidance counselor. Ward is the son of Paula Ward of El Paso, and the late Ronald Ward. He is a science teacher and graduate student.

Mrs. Sadler is the former Courtnie Harris, daughter of Cindy Harris of Benton, Mo., and Darrel and Fukuyo Harris of Fenton, Mo. She is employed with the WIC program at Scott County Health Department.
