BENTON, Mo. -- A complaint of a suspicious vehicle Saturday resulted in two arrests.

Scott County Deputy Chuck Howard responded to County Road 511 in reference to two people acting suspiciously in a vehicle, according to a news release issued Monday by Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter.

Howard reported seeing drug paraphernalia in open view through the window. Further investigation revealed 22 pills of different types, all of which po lice said were controlled substances.

Arrested were Shane Lee Nall, 27, and Ashley N. Lay, 20, each on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $7,500 each.
