William Bizzell Jr.

William Bizzell Jr., 87, of Whitewater died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Feb. 19, 1921, in New Madrid County, son of William and Ella M. (Hall) Bizzell Sr. He and Mary J. (Avery) Bizzell were married May 1, 1938 in Stoddard County...

William Bizzell Jr., 87, of Whitewater died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 19, 1921, in New Madrid County, son of William and Ella M. (Hall) Bizzell Sr. He and Mary J. (Avery) Bizzell were married May 1, 1938 in Stoddard County.

Bizzell was a farmer in the Whitewater area for many years.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Ernest Bizzell of Statesboro, Ga.; a daughter, Joyce Proeschel of St. Louis; three sisters; two brothers; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Open house will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the family home. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
