SIKESTON, Mo. — Shirley Anne Amos, 73, of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 22, 1934, in Dunklin County, daughter of Charles Asa and Wilma Ruby Hilton Douglass. She married Dennis Crowley in 1959 in Gray Ridge, Mo.; and later married Gene Amos on Dec. 14, 1981, in Tipton County, Tenn. He preceded her in death in 1993...

SIKESTON, Mo. — Shirley Anne Amos, 73, of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 22, 1934, in Dunklin County, daughter of Charles Asa and Wilma Ruby Hilton Douglass. She married Dennis Crowley in 1959 in Gray Ridge, Mo.; and later married Gene Amos on Dec. 14, 1981, in Tipton County, Tenn. He preceded her in death in 1993.

She was a member of Spirit Life Ministries Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include two sons, John Crowley of Cape Girardeau and Barry Crowley of Rogers, Ark.; a brother, Jerry Douglass of San Diego; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Spirit Life Ministries Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Mike Tinnin officiating.

Burial will follow at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
