Results from today's autopsy of a Chaffee, Mo., man who died in a barge accident are expected to be released within a couple of weeks, Cape Girardeau County chief deputy coroner Jerry Goin said.

Thomas Eftink, 67, died after falling into an empty hopper barge at Buzzi Unicem, 2524 S. Sprigg St. in Cape Girardeau, Saturday afternoon. The man was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where he was pronounced dead.

Company spokesperson Denise Menke said Buzzi Unicem is cooperating with all authories investigating the accident.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and our co-workers here at the plant," Menke said.
