Merita Williams

GLENALLEN, Mo. — Merita Jo Williams, 74, of Glenallen died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at the family home.

She was born May 31, 1934, at Charleston, Mo., daughter of Amos Stanford and Josephine Markham Tucker. She and Freddie E. Williams were married Dec. 25, 1952.

Williams was a member of New Trace Creek Church in Glenallen.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Franklin Williams of Warrenton, Mo.; a daughter, Janice Dodson of Rolla, Mo.; a brother, Dwayne Tucker of Maryland Heights, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in the New Trace Creek Cemetery near Glenallen.
