The Notre Dame volleyball team won a three-game thriller Thursday night at Leopold, claiming the deciding third game 28-26.

The Bulldogs (25-5) had won the first game 25-22, while Leopold (22-3-1) took the second game 25-23.

Notre Dame used a balanced attack as Emily Welker, Bridgette Nenninger and Meghan Dohogne each finishing with eight kills. Shannon Brennan dished out 22 assists, while Allyson Bradshaw and Kelsey Bradshaw each had 12 digs. Allyson Bradshaw had eight consecutive service points in the final game.

Casey Bucher led Leopold with 16 kills, while Kirsten Thiele had 10. Danielle Beel had seven kills and nine blocks, and Lauren Seiler collected 15 assists. Bucher and Fowler each had four digs.

Jasmine Johnson pounded 22 kills as Bell City cruised to a sweep at home.

Codie Lancaster recorded 31 assists and Sherilyn Long had 24 digs for the Cubs (20-7-2).

Jackson 25 20 25 Poplar Bluff 17 25 20

Jill Rushin recorded 15 kills as Jackson won a three-set match at home.

Rachael Meyr had 17 assists and 12 digs for Jackson (17-14). Katelyn Myrack led the defensive effort with 21 digs.
