In addition to receiving a Distinguished Service Award and riding in the Southeast Missouri State University Homecoming parade, Neal Boyd will take part in the coin flip before Saturday's Southeast Homecoming football game.

Boyd, a Sikeston, Mo., native and Southeast alumnus, won the NBC talent show "America's Got Talent" and its $1 million prize earlier this month. Saturday's public appearances at Home­coming activities will be his first in Southeast Missouri, and his first trip home, since his win.

The coin flip will take place just before the kickoff of the 1 p.m. game against nationally ranked Tennessee State.

Boyd will receive his award at a 7:30 a.m. breakfast and be featured in the 9:30 a.m. parade.
