Marie Weaks

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Marie Dickerman Weaks of Sikeston died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004.

She was daughter of Harold Dickerman and Mary Oliver Dickerman Tally. She and Robert Henry "Jake" Weaks were married. He died Nov. 14, 1995.

She was a member of First Christian Church at Sikeston and was a volunteer Pink Lady at Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston for over 20 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Trudye Blackard of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Gary P. Weaks of Atlanta, Ga.; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the First Christian Church, with the Rev. Allen Schriver officiating. A private burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
