Lillian Wolfe Ritter, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. Lillian Wolfe Ritter, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Sept. 17, 1913, in Helena, Ark., daughter of Edward E. and Maggie Lillian Russell Wolfe. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Marianna, Ark., where she spent her childhood through 12th grade.

Following graduation from high school she moved to Little Rock, Ark., where she worked for a number of years. She married George Kimbel and moved to Cape Girardeau in December 1940. He died in 1969. Lillian later married Dr. Raymond A. Ritter Sr. in 1975 and was with him until his death in 1997.

Lillian was a member of PEO, Quest Club and First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau. She was a former member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two stepsons, Dr. Raymond Ritter Jr. and wife Ann of Cape Girardeau, Dr. Carl Ritter and wife Sue of Sedona, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Caroline Reitz and husband David of Wichita, Kan., Margaret Ueleke and husband John of Memphis, Tenn.; long term care giver, Carrie Skelton of Gordonville; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; three brothers, A.G., Jimmy J. and Edmund Walker "Bud" Wolfe Jr.; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Kabo officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church.
