STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- Edward F. Oehlert, 72, of Ste. Genevieve died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Des Peres, Mo.

He was born Dec. 9, 1936, in Altenburg, Mo., son of George C. and Lena M. Hemmann Oehlert.

Survivors include a son, Larry Oehlert of Drummonds, Tenn.; four daughters, Diane Cain of Atoka, Tenn., Judith Counts of Ste. Genevieve, Rachel Moffat of Eureka, Mo., Stacy Olson of Jackson; two brothers, Norman Oehlert of Sikeston, Mo., Raymond Oehlert of Ferguson, Mo.; three sisters, Bernice Huntsman of Arvada, Colo., Mary Ann Pledger of Cape Girardeau, Lula Mae Ziegler of Imperial, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to service time Sunday at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

The service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
