Some scenes in "Killshot" were filmed in Cape Girardeau in early 2006. The film stars Mickey Rourke, Thomas Jane and Diane Lane and is based on an Elmore Leonard novel set partially in Cape.

The Weinstein Co. website lists Jan. 23 as the U.S. release date for the film, though several release dates have been announced since the Cape Girardeau filming three years ago.

The Internet Movie Database, a website dedicated to movies and the film industry, also lists Jan. 23 as the release date.

Neither site gives details on whether the release is a wide or limited release. Look for more information later on semissourian.com.
