ST. PETERS, Mo. — Melba L. LaRose, 81, formerly of Perryville, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at St. Peters Manor in St. Peters. She was born Nov. 8, 1927, at Fremont, Mo., daughter of David and Elizabeth Lane. She married Alvin LaRose, who died March 26, 1995...

ST. PETERS, Mo. — Melba L. LaRose, 81, formerly of Perryville, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at St. Peters Manor in St. Peters.

She was born Nov. 8, 1927, at Fremont, Mo., daughter of David and Elizabeth Lane. She married Alvin LaRose, who died March 26, 1995.

She worked at Gilster-Mary Lee Corp.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Bristol of Fremont, Mo.; three sisters and five brothers; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter.

Friends may call from noon to the time of service Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

The service is at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
