Heather Hornberger

PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Heather A. Hornberger 33, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at home.

She was born June 16, 1975, in Chester, Ill., daughter of Dale and Sandy Alms Koenig. On May 24, 1997, she married Michael Hornberger in Perryville.

She was a teacher at Perryville Public High School and belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church, PTL at Immanuel Lutheran School, Friends of Education and the Missouri Teachers Association.

Survivors include her parents; husband; a daughter, Madison Hornberger, and a son, Dalton Hornberger, both of Perryville; a brother and sister, Joseph and Jessica Koenig, both of Perryville; her mother-in-law, Mary Balsman of Perryville and a grandmother, Arline Koenig of Frohna, Mo.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating.

Burial in in the church cemetery.
