Man shot, abandoned in woods
FESTUS, Mo. (AP) -- Police are searching for a suspect who shot a man, then abandoned him in a wooded area of eastern Missouri. The incident happened Monday. The incident happened Monday. Police say a man was shot in the foot with a shotgun in St. Louis, then driven to a wooded area near Festus in Jefferson County and left stranded.
No word on a motive for the shooting. Police are searching for a suspect seen fleeing in a white Chevrolet Cavalier.

The victim was hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
