The Southeast Missouri State track and field program had several strong performances over the weekend during a meet at Southern Illinois-Carbondale.

Tyler Terry, a Central High School product, finished third in the long jump as his distance of 24 feet 1 inch was the best by a collegiate athlete.

Terry's jump ranks first in the Ohio Valley Conference during the early part of the indoor season.

Ryan Criglar had the second-best collegiate long jump at 23-10.

Terry also placed fifth in the triple jump at 45-10 3/4.

Finishing second for Southeast's men were Paul Stemmerman in the mile (4:18.06) and Nate Shipley in the 3,000-meters (8:44.23).

Josh Uchtman was fourth in the shot put (50-8) and the 1,600 relay team of Robert Delaria, Courtney Ellis, Derek Goodin and Myron Pettigrew placed fourth (3:25.42).

Southeast's women were paced by Shemeika Brewer, who was second in the triple jump (38-71/2).

Amy Warren was third in the 3,000 (10:50.01) and Central High School graduate Brianna Egbuka finished fourth in the shot put (43-11 3/4).
