BENTON, Mo. — Warren Boone "Doug" Reynolds, 85, of Benton, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at the home of a daughter near Benton. He was born Oct. 9, 1923, at Portageville, Mo., son of Fred A. and Betty L. Hanks Reynolds. He and Reva Autia Robinson were married July 4, 1946. She died July 21, 1963...

BENTON, Mo. — Warren Boone "Doug" Reynolds, 85, of Benton, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at the home of a daughter near Benton.

He was born Oct. 9, 1923, at Portageville, Mo., son of Fred A. and Betty L. Hanks Reynolds. He and Reva Autia Robinson were married July 4, 1946. She died July 21, 1963.

Reynolds lived in Mississippi County most of his life and had been employed in construction as a heavy equipment operator.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Fred Reynolds of Charleston, Larry Reynolds of Muscatine, Iowa, Mike Reynolds of Benton; two daughters, Linda Embry of Chaffee, Mo., Sandy Woods of Benton; two sisters, Levgia Wicker of Bertrand, Mo., Mary Baugh of Wyatt, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, a brother, a sister and a grandson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Larry Gammons officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston, with military rites provided by Missouri Military Honors Program.
