The big story today is the winter weather that's wracked Southeast Missouri and the surrounding area, dumping inches of ice in the form of sleet and freezing rain across the area.
The bad news is, more is on the way.
Local governments are closing early today, and some events tonight are canceled. Some schools are already reporting Wednesday closings to us, as well.

We announced this morning that Cape Girardeau would be part of the Tour of Missouri bike race this year, based on a source who wished to remain anonymous.
Early this afternoon we reported official word that indeed, the city will host part of the tour. Click here for more information on what this means to our city.
