Larry Joseph Berkbigler, 66, of Old Appleton died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, in Perry County, Mo.

Berkbigler was born July 13, 1942 at Friedheim, Mo., the son of Norbert and Luella Blechle Berkbigler. He married Mary F. Conrad.

He was a heavy hauler and truck driver for Kelley Railroad Contractors. Berkbigler was also a heavy hauler for Hertz Equipment Rental in St. Louis. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 133.

He is survived by his wife of Old Appleton; two daughters, Charlotte (Davis) Perez Davis of Wildomar, Calif., Kimberly (Bill) Humphrey of Pocahontas, Mo.; three brothers, Charles (Barb) Berkbigler, Terry (Lanitta) Berkbigler both of Friedheim, Stacy (Linda) Sauer of Olathe, Kan.; two sisters, Brenda (Joe Don) Randol of Jackson, LaDonna (Johnny) Pfau of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Cole, Amber and Ashley Humphrey, and Alexandrea and Carissa Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Maurus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery.
