Cape Girardeau is postponing special trash pickups for a week and promising to attempt to reach on Thursday regular garbage pickup customers missed on Tuesday. The city will attempt to reach regular Thursday and Friday customers but residents who live in hilly areas or on narrow streets with cars parked in a way that makes it difficult to reach them are asked to be patient. Residents who had special pickups scheduled for today will be rescheduled for next Wednesday. Tuesday recycling customers will be collected as part of the normal route on this coming Tuesday.
