CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Joyce H. Sims, 78, of Chaffee died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 4, 1930, in Kaskaskia, Ill., daughter of Henry L. and Myrtle A. Russell Bevenue. She was married to William L. Sims.

Survivors include two sons, Leo Sims of Chaffee, Tommy Sims of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; and a sister, Marcella Stennett of Collinsville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon today at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

The funeral will be at noon today at the funeral home, with Jonathan Khourie officiating. Burial will be in Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
