SIKESTON, Mo. -- Paul Childers, 65, of Sikeston died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born Aug. 12, 1939, at Anniston, Mo., son of Ed and Joy Collins Childers. He and Dorothy Pike were married April 17, 1966, at East Prairie, Mo. She died Aug. 19, 1994. He and Mary "Cindy" Harlow were married Nov. 26, 1994, at Sikeston...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Paul Childers, 65, of Sikeston died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 12, 1939, at Anniston, Mo., son of Ed and Joy Collins Childers. He and Dorothy Pike were married April 17, 1966, at East Prairie, Mo. She died Aug. 19, 1994. He and Mary "Cindy" Harlow were married Nov. 26, 1994, at Sikeston.

Childers was a truck driver for General Motors Corp. and had served in the Missouri National Guard. He was also a member of the Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319.

Survivors include his wife; four stepsons, Bill Harlow of Collierville, Tenn., Terry Harlow of Las Vegas, Ed Pike Jr. of Sikeston, Danny Pike of Memphis, Tenn.; three stepdaughters, Susie Enslow of Lancaster, Calif., Judi Atherton of Dexter, Mo., Bobbi Hadley of Sikeston; three brothers, Michael Childers of Austin, Texas, Jerry Childers of Chaffee, Mo., Tim Childers of Matthews, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Hamilton of Sikeston, Sue Husk of Cape Girardeau; nine stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Delbert Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
