Billy McClure

PERRYVILLE, Mo.— Billy G. McClure, 70, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at his home.

He was born April 21, 1938, in Bragg City, Mo., son of Virgil Thomas and Edith Ferguson McClure. He and Charlotte J. Casey were married Oct. 8, 1960.

McClure was a diesel mechanic with North American Van Lines. He was a member of Elks Lodge in Alton, Ill., and a member of mechanics union 15 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott McClure of Coon Rapids, Minn.; a daughter, Brenda Laufenberger of Hazelwood, Mo.; a sister, Ellen McCulley of Florissant, Mo.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, which are private.
