JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Missouri House has given first-round approval to a bill intended to spur job creation by expanding tax incentives for employers. Missouri's Quality Jobs program offers tax credits to companies that create jobs with health benefits and average wages. Lawmakers voted last year to authorize up to $60 million in tax breaks. This year's measure repeals any limit on the tax credits, promises tax breaks for investments in certain technology-based companies and waives the sales tax on utilities used by underground storage companies.
