SHELBINA, Mo. -- St. Vincent rolled past South Shelby 24-7 in a Class 1 sectional football contest Wednesday at South Shelby.

The Indians (10-1) travel to Salisbury (11-0) on Monday night for a Class 1 quarterfinal game.

St. Vincent scored on its first possession with three passing plays, two running plays and a penalty on South Shelby. Quarterback Alex Armbruster hooked up with Danny Rellergert for a 23-yard touchdown with 6 minutes and 9 seconds on the clock. Kyle Kline kicked the PAT as St. Vincent took a 7-0 lead.

St. Vincent added a score just 28 seconds into the second quarter when Waylon Richardet took the ball in from the 7-yard line. Kline added the PAT for a 14-0 lead.

In the third quarter, the Indians took the opening kickoff and marched 58 yards in seven plays for another touchdown. Richardet again cashed in, running 37 yards to complete the drive. Kline again made the PAT with 9:06 to play in the quarter as the Indians grabbed a 21-0 lead.

South Shelby scored its only touchdown on a 55-yard, 14-play drive. Tony Hall scored on a 1-yard run with less than a second to play in the third quarter. Javier Lopez kicked the PAT.

St. Vincent put its final points on the board when Kline kicked 32-yard field goal with 3:27 on the clock.

The Indians racked up a total of 346 yards, while South Shelby was held to 144 yards.

Salisbury, St. Vincent's next opponent, posted a 15-13 victory against Tipton in a battle of unbeatens Wednesday night to set up Monday's showdown.
