The United Way of Southeast Missouri has raised 80 percent of its 2004 campaign goal of $1 million. The following employee campaigns reported significant increases:

Sam's Club: $9,346, a 300 percent increase.

Wood and Huston Bank: $7,893, a 66 percent increase.

Nestle Purina PetCare Co.: $15,685, a 34 percent increase.

Coca Cola: $5,016, a 16 percent increase.

Union Planters Bank: $12,932, a 14 percent increase.

Nordenia, USA Inc.: $36,882, a 12.4 percent increase.

Southeast Missouri Hospital: $66,000, a 12 percent increase.

The United Way of Southeast Missouri partners with local health and human service agencies to improve the quality of life in Southeast Missouri. Through leveraging of funds and matching grants brought to Southeast Missouri, every dollar pledged to the United Way of Southeast Missouri provides a return of $1.35 worth of programs impacting our community.
