CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Orville W. Smith Jr., 75, of Meriden, Kan., died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004.
He was born near Burlingame, Kan., son of Orville and Vida Davis Smith.
Smith farmed many years in the Dover, Kan., area, worked as a mechanic, and retired from the Topeka, Kan., Street Department.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; three sons, Dale, David and William Smith, all of Topeka; three daughters, Glenda Kreipe and Linda Collins of Topeka, Karen Seyer of Chaffee; a brother, Bernard Smith of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Marjorie Wessell of Denver; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson.
Graveside service was held Tuesday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Kansas.
