Joan Laverne Smith, 61, of Millersville died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Monticello House in Jackson. She was born Dec. 27, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Raymond O. and Hazel A. Sadler Welker. She and Donald Lloyd Smith were married May 25, 1963. He died March 6, 2000...

Joan Laverne Smith, 61, of Millersville died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Dec. 27, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Raymond O. and Hazel A. Sadler Welker. She and Donald Lloyd Smith were married May 25, 1963. He died March 6, 2000.

Survivors include a son, Donald Lloyd Smith Jr. of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sarah Revell of Jackson; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft Miller Funeral Home.

Funeral is at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rocky Tallent officiating. Burial will be in Old Salem Methodist Cemetery at Millersville.
