Jane Alleman

Roy Jane Alleman, 78, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Heartland Care and Rehab.

She was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Verden, Okla., daughter of Samuel F. and Marjorie Wade Gardner. She and Elmer J. Alleman were married in 1971 in Biloxi, Miss. He died in July 1979.

Survivors include three sons, Glenn Howard of Brownwood, Mo., Terry Howard of Van Cleave, Miss., Frankie Howard of Sturdivant, Mo.; two daughters, Edra Snell of Saucier, Miss., Tanya Freed of Advance, Mo.; four brothers, Wayne Gardner of Dexter, Ky., Billy Gardner of Batesville, Ark., Mack Gardner of Geneseo, Ill., Wade Gardner of Leora, Mo.; a sister, Betty Kinder of Bowling Green, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sarah Hamilton officiating.
