Shirley Legins

Shirley R. Legins, 58, of Martin, Tenn., died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.

She was born March 30, 1946, in Potosi, Mo., daughter of Arley M. and Opal Mounce Roberts. She married Billie Joe Legins.

Legins was a secretary at Ross and Sons Merchandise, and a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Chris Roberts of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Larry Roberts of Doniphan, Mo.; six sisters, Ruth Marshall and Emmagene Ratliff of Cape Girardeau, Grace Brewer of High Ridge, Mo., Bernice Ross and Sharon Schmitt of Hillsboro, Mo., Frances Held of Festus, Mo.; and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, with the Rev. Matt Brown officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery at Martin.
