Robert Sutterer

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Robert E. "Bob" Sutterer, 71, of Perryville died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 21, 1933, at Perryville, son of Carl and Lena Mouser Sutterer. He and Carol Hoehn were married May 14, 1966, at Perryville.

Sutterer was co-owner and operator of Sutterer Oil & Service Station. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, a member of the Holy Name Society and a fourth-degree member of Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 133 and VFW Post 4282.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Brad Sutterer of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Julie Johnson of Perryville; a sister, Barbara Dunlap of Perryville; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Young & Sons Chapel. Parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and rosary will be at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating.

Burial with full military rites will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
