Betty Duffield

OLMSTED, Ill. -- Betty G. Duffield, 73, of Olmsted died Friday, March 20, 2009, at her home.

She was born Dec. 13, 1935, at Vienna, Ill., daughter of Julius and Nora Simpson Holmes.

Duffield was a retired waitress from the former Voigt's Cafe and Gulf Station in Olmsted.

Survivors include three sons, Johnny Cook of St. Joseph, Mo., Bruce Cook of Karnak, Ill., Bobby Cook of Olmsted; three daughters, Carla Hamilton of Buffalo, Ill., Linda Harp of Mound City, Ill., Sandra Zierer of Olmsted; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Whitaker officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Olmsted.
