The Bank of America at 800 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau will close June 30. Spokeswoman Tara Burke said the move is part of a corporate consolidation process. "Like most retail businesses, Bank of America is looking for ways to maximize our investment, whether it's building new stores, relocating or closing a location," Burke said. She said customers of the Kingshighway branch will receive letters informing them of the move. After the closure, Bank of America will still operate nearby branches at 2001 William St. in Cape Girardeau and 320 W. Main St. in Jackson.
