Margaret Dorris

SIKESTON, Mo. — Margaret Nora Dorris, 63, died peacefully Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at home in Sikeston following a long and arduous battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 23, 1945, in Arcadia, Mo., to Robert Lee Lotz and Julia Alice Lotz. She was married to Glynn J. Dorris on July 15, 1961, and is the mother of Glenda K. Rodriquez of Temple, Texas, Jackie L. Gould of Cape Girardeau and William G. Dorris of East Prairie, Mo.

She is the grandmother of Megan Givens and Timothy Givens of Columbia, Mo., Amanda Lockhart and Brooke Lockhart of Cape Girardeau and Cody Dorris of Sikeston.

She is also survived by three sisters and was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Arrangements for private interment will be handled by the family at a later date.
