ANNA, Ill. -- Ellen Love Campbell, 85 of Anna died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Charleston, Mo., daughter of Joseph Franklin and Azlea Rollins English.

Campbell was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in World War II. She made her home in Peru many years.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Campbell of Anna, Patrick Campbell of Ridge Farm, Ill., Brian Campbell of Dongola, Ill.; a brother, Rex English of Christopher, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jonesboro Cemetery, with the Rev. Tony Foeller officiating.

Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
