Hood - Reckamp

Abigail Mulholland Hood and Eric Anthony Reckamp were married May 24, 2008, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church in St. Louis. The Rev. Bernie Schloemer performed the ceremony. Eucharistic ministers were Judge and Mrs. Joseph Hood of Lexington, Ky., uncle and aunt of the bride, and Katie Starkey of Lexington, aunt and godmother of the bride.

Readers were Kristin Riley and Matthew Younghouse of Cape Girardeau. Gifts were presented by Amanda Gruchala, cousin of the groom, and Betsy Hood, cousin of the bride, both of St. Louis.

Organist was Ron Ansler and soloist was Amy Schwarz, both of St. Louis.

The bride is the daughter of Shelby Kneer of Paducah, Ky., and William R. Hood of Ashland, Ky. The groom is the son of Timothy Reckamp of St. Louis, and the late Deborah Reckamp.

Matron of honor was Julie Menacho of Oak Park, Ill., stepsister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Reckamp of St. Louis, sister of the groom; Rosie Kearney of Omaha, Neb., Holly Ruggeri of St. Peters, Mo., Tricia Ferguson of St. Louis, and Jenny Grasso of Edwardsville, Ill.

Kevin Doll of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were William Hood of Brooklyn, N.Y., brother of the bride; Joseph Weir of St. Louis; Joseph Ruggeri of St. Peters; Benjamin Starkey of Lexington, cousin of the bride; and Ryan Wachter of St. Louis. Ushers were Joseph, Matthew and Thomas Causino, cousins of the groom; and Josh Linck, all of St. Louis.

Candlelighters were Carrie Myers of Cape Girardeau and Jessica Campbell of Chesterfield, Mo.

Flower girls were Gabriella Johnson, cousin and goddaughter of the bride, and Ivy Goldson. Ringbearer was Jack Petersen. Gabriella is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Johnson of Madison, Conn. Ivy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Goldson of St. Louis. Jack is the son of Karl and Dr. Diane Petersen of St. Louis.

Guest book attendants were Lindsay Miller of Cape Girardeau, Lorie Bittle and Heidi Holmes of St. Louis.

The reception was held at the Ameristar Casino.

The groom's father hosted the rehearsal dinner May 23 at Favazza's on the Hill.

Mrs. Reckamp is a 1999 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. She received a bachelor of arts degree in liberal arts from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. She is attending graduate school at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Vianney High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in business administration-finance from Truman State University in 2002. He is a bank examiner with Federal Reserve Bank.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Webster Groves, Mo.
