Deputies picked up the chase and followed the suspects' car to Interstate 57 east of Sikeston, where the Missouri State Highway Patrol joined in the pursuit. The suspects turned north on Interstate 55 to Route HH, then west on Route HH to U.S. 61, where Sikeston officers became involved.

According to the Scott County Sheriff's Department, Sikeston officers then chased the vehicle south to a neighborhood near the downtown area where they stopped the vehicle and took all four occupants into custody.

None of the suspects has been identified pending the filing of formal charges. A sheriff's spokesman said that two of the suspects are wanted on out-of-state warrants for escaping custody and first-degree burglary. Burglary and felony stealing charges are expected to be filed against all four suspects, the spokesman said.
