Smith - Creecy

THEBES, Ill. -- Paula "Joni" Smith and Ronald D. Creecy Jr. were married Feb. 14, 2009, at the home of her parents. David E. Fellows performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of John and Roberta Kaufman of Thebes. The groom is the son of Ron and Kaye Creecy Sr. of McClure, Ill.

Maid of honor was Sumer Smith of Thebes, daughter of the bride.

Billy Smith of Jackson, son of the bride, was best man.

Flower girl was Brianna Brown, daughter of Gary and Michelle Brown of Jackson and niece of the bride. Ringbearers were Trenton Flannell, and Damion and Gabriel Hale. Trenton is the son of Sumer Smith and Nathan Flannell and grandson of the bride. Damion and Gabriel are sons of Shawn and Destany Hale of McClure and grandsons of the groom.

The dinner reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kaufman. Servers were Karen Roth, sister of the bride; Michelle Brown and Heather Kaufman, nieces of the bride.

Mrs. Creecy is a 1977 graduate of Shawnee High School in Wolf Lake, Ill.

The groom is an ironworker with Samron Midwest Construction Co. in Murphysboro, Ill. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

The couple is residing in Thebes.
