No need here

IF everyone took care of their own, there'd be no need for homeless shelters. We certainly don't need one or want one in downtown Cape Girardeau. Larry Rice should build another shelter in St. Louis.

Helpful officers

CAPE Girardeau sure has some fine, young, helpful police officers. They are so kind and considerate to the elderly. You know who you are. Bless you.

Dairy prices

POOR dairy farmers. It shows you how poor they are when they can dump their milk on the ground and not sell it. They ought to be thankful for what they're getting. Every time prices go up consumers have to pay more.

Saving gas money

HERE'S a suggestion for the Jackson School District to save some money. Quit stopping so often to pick up kids. Make them walk a little get a little bit more exercise. I swear the buses don't go more than two blocks before stopping to pick up another group of kids. It's not going to hurt the kids to walk a block or two to get to the bus stop. How much gas money does it take to stop and start the bus? There's your cost savings right there.
