Blood pressure screenings

The blood pressure screenings are offered free of charge.

When: 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.

Where: Illmo Housing Authority, Scott City

Heart Smart screenings

Glucose and lipid profile screenings on a walk-in basis. A two-hour fast is required before the glucose test. A 10-hour fast is required for a lipid profile of HDL, LDL and triglyceride levels. For more information, call 332-1587.

Breast-feeding class

Free class covers the benefits and techniques of breast feeding, family involvement and support. To register, call 332-1587.

Refresher childbirth class

The class covers the basic knowledge of labor and delivery, breathing and relaxation exercises, and discusses sibling rivalry. To register, call 332-1587.

Heart and health screenings

Various health screenings including cholesterol, osteoporosis and glucose. Costs vary. For more information, call 331-5970.

Our new baby class

The class for children ages 3 and 4 and their parents is intended to help families adjust to having a new baby.

When: 6 to 7 p.m.

Super sitter class

The class is for boys and girls, 11 to 16 years old, to learn proper baby-sitting techniques and basic child care information. To register, call 332-1587.
