Victim from May 26 auto accident dies

A man involved in an accident last week south of Cape Girardeau has died.

Caleb McClellan, 21, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday as a result of injuries sustained in a car wreck May 26, Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton said Wednesday.

McClellan, a student at Southeast Missouri State University, had been hospitalized at Saint Francis Medical Center since the accident.

The accident occurred during early morning hours on County Road 205 a mile south of Cape Girardeau when McClellan's Jaguar ran off the road and struck a tree.
