Route K between U.S. 61 and Elm Street in Scott City will be reduced to one lane beginning Friday while workers install a turn lane and widen the road, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Route K between U.S. 61 and Elm Street in Scott City will be reduced to one lane beginning Friday while workers install a turn lane and widen the road, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Traffic could back up on Route K, U.S. 61 and Interstate 55 exit ramps, the release said. Fronabarger Concreters will also be installing a right-turn lane on Route K to the northbound ramp to I-55 at Scott City. Weather permitting, the work will begin Friday and end Wednesday. MoDOT asks motorists to use caution near the area and to use alternate routes to avoid possible delays.
