Jameson Kuper set a pool record Wednesday in Clayton as Notre Dame's boys swimming team won a three-team meet with St. Louis University High School and Clayton. Jameson Kuper set a pool record Wednesday in Clayton as Notre Dame's boys swimming team won a three-team meet with St. Louis University High School and Clayton.

The Bulldogs finished with 148 points, SLUH had 96 and Clayton scored 70. Kuper finished with a pair of individual wins, including a pool-record 1 minute, 2.35 seconds in the 100-meter breaststroke. Kuper won the 200 free as well.

Josh Buchheit won the 200 individual medley and the 100 free and was on the winning 200 medley and 400 free relays. Adam Reinagel (100 butterfly), Jordan Voss (50 free) and Justin Voss (500 free) also won events.

BOYS BASKETBALL Jackson 86, Perryville 28

Jackson hit 14 3-pointers, as the Indians destroyed host Perryville and improved to 17-1.

Jack Puisis had seven of the 3-pointers on his way to 26 points. Tyler Beussink nailed four 3-pointers and scored 14 points. Drue McNeely added 13 points.

The Pirates (6-10) were by Ricky Dunn with nine points.

OTHER EVENTS

* The Central freshman boys basketball team imrpoved to 13-1 with a 48-29 win over Notre Dame in its final home game. Garrett Stevens led Central with 13 points, and J.C. White added 10. Central plays tonight at Dexter, then ends the season next week in the Jackson tournament.

* Central's eighth-grade boys basketball squad defeated Jackson 48-41 in the first round of its own four-team tournament. Andrew Ratliff led Central (9-2) with 21 points, and Byron Wright added 12.

Central plays Sikeston at about 7:15 p.m. tonight for the title. Sikeston beat Poplar Bluff 41-39 in the other semifinal. Jackson at Poplar Bluff play at 6 p.m. for third place.
