ORAN, Mo. -- Dariel Junior Hodge, 64, of Oran died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

He was born May 30, 1945, in St. Louis, son of Jessie Leeman and Bessie V. Evans Hodge.

Hodge was a self-employed carpenter.

He served with the Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include three sons, Kendall and Bobby Hodge of Oran, Jessie Hodge of Kansas; a daughter, Tara Hodge of Kansas; a sister, Betty Banks of Morley, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

There is no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Thomas Godwin officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran is in charge of arrangements.
