HIGHLAND, Mo. -- Paul T. Lukefahr of Highland died Friday, July 17, 2009, at his home. He was 67.
He was born July 16, 1942, in Highland, son of the late Clarence and Martha (Schrumpf) Lukefahr. He was married to Carole Layton on June 3, 1967 who survives in Highland.
Paul Lukefahr was retired from General Motors. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland, National Guard and American Legion.
Other survivors include two sons and two daughters, Melissa (Kevin) Rellergert of Imperial, Mo., Amy (Steve) Hlavek of Perryville, Andy Lukefahr of St. Louis, Jody (Jennifer) Lukefahr of Perryville; four brothers and two sisters, George Lukefahr, Rose Lappe, Pete Lukefahr and Steve Lukefahr, all of Perryville, Ray Lukefahr of Centralia, Ill., and Charlotte Miget of Perryville; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland. Catholic wake service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The memorial preference is Masses or disabled veterans.
