A single car accident near Millersville sent five people to a Cape Girardeau hospital Sunday night.

Dylan W. Neal, 17, of Cape Girardeau was driving his 1991 Honda on County Road 352 seven miles west of Millersville when he lost control, ran off the roadway and struck a ditch, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident occurred around 7:38 p.m.

One of the passengers, Jesse R. Gibson, 20, of Cape Girardeau was in serious condition. Neal, Ricky L. Heffner, 17, of Scott City and Justin L. Jackson, 17, of Cape Girardeau were treated for minor injuries. Tarl E. Luhring, 17, of Cape Girardeau was treated for moderate injuries. All five were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
