DEXTER, Mo. -- Darrell Dixon, son of Ella Mae McKee Dixon of Dexter and the late Clyde Curtis Dixon, was born March 31, 1950, in Dexter, and departed this life July 17, 2009, in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 59 years.
Mr. Dixon was the owner of AGWHOLESALEUSA in Jonesboro and served in the Missouri National Guard 1221st Transportation Unit in Dexter for six years. He was a former resident of Dexter, currently residing in Jonesboro.
On June 21, 2003, he was united in marriage to Gina Gaines in Dexter. Mrs. Dixon survives of the home in Jonesboro.
Besides his wife, Gina Dixon of Jonesboro, and his mother, Ella Mae McKee Dixon of Dexter, other survivors include a son, Jeff Dixon and wife, Cristy of Bloomfield, Mo.; a stepson, Joshua Gaines of Jonesboro; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Michelle Farmer and husband Allen of Cordova, Tenn.; three brothers, Robert E. Dixon of Niangua, Mo., Kenneth D. Dixon of Jackson and Clyde A. Dixon of Dexter; three grandchildren, Tyler Dixon, Kelsey Dixon and Chloe Farmer.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery.
